Visual indicator that a state's parent/children have changed
It is not immediately obvious if moving/drawing a state actually changed the parent or children of another state. Visually there is no clues other than:
- Hovering over the states in question and reading the path from the message bar
- Dragging a state and seeing if the children also move
These 2 methods should not be the only options. Maybe:
- a temporary fading out drop shadow when a parent/child changes
- a drop shadow that always shows the height so a state that is on top of another but is not a child may look like it is at the same height and not higher as it should be
- odd-even layer coloring while in edit mode
- gradual darkening of the state color while in edit mode
- rely on a tool tip from #5 created by a check in #6 that warns of an ambiguous state placement where a state overlaps but is not a child of the state it overlaps
